I don't think you can ever become fully trained when it comes to painting the human body. I try to always keep my mind fresh by challenging what I've learned before.
I see the body as different shapes that relate to oneanother. The pen and brush are tools for exploring what I see and the eyes for observing tone values, twists and points of tension.
I don't waste time on getting the skin tone exactly right. I just make sure I have one warm and one cool color, and leave some virgin paper for the highlights.
